This is a very obscene album that happens to be very funny if you don't take it too seriously like the first reviewer did. I wonder if he ever liked Andrew Dice Clay? Anyway, the bass beats are awesome and the lyrics are not be repeated in front of young children.

when i was 15 yrs old, this album was the sh*t to me. now im older, dirty rhymes are played out, and guess what? this album is still the sh*t to me! this is not one of those albums that gets better with age, like a fine wine. it must be savoured in context; white, middle class pre-teens, learning the facts of life from luke and the Crew with a generous helping of phat beats and samples. gangsta rap sux these days because its missing the light heartedness of albums like this. 2 Live Crew loved sex, so much that they felt the need to make an entire album about it...and thats special.

Cons: Utter filth, and I'm not even religiously affiliated

This cd is utter crap. All it does is bring down the image of black Americans, for Luke just happens to be black. It is the publication and production of such obscene garbage that primarily gives black Americans a bad name. Black Americans wonder why they are judged by white Americans. It is, in part, because of media such as 2 Live Crew. Look...I am as pro-First Amendment as they come, but if people want to endorse this product and be "As Nasty as They Wanna Be," then make sure I don't hear it. And, with the popularity of booming stereos, I don't forsee any positive image recognition in the future for people who promote such obscenity--black, white, or any other "race."

I say "race" because there is really no such thing, except for the human race, only what people portray and recognize as different skin tones. I wouldn't promote a product of the same caliber if a white group produced the same genre of filth. I wouldn't promote it, if an Arab group did.

It's like voting in an election, one should vote for the platform, not the image of the candidate.

Whatever you think of the 2 Live Crew, whatever they've become today, this album was ground-breaking. Where else would we get Me So Horny? My 7 Bizzos? I don't know if their intention was humour, but this was damned hilarious!
