    Neil Innes' "parody" of the Beatles' music is once again right on the money -- so much so that it could almost be the Beatles' work. From "Major Happy's up and Coming Once upon a Good Time Band" and "Rendezvous" -- strikingly reminiscent of "Sgt. Pep...per's" and "With a Little Help from My Friends" -- Innes and the band have struck a terrific chord. Other tunes, such as "Joe Public" and "Shangri-La" also nail the Beatles' ever-changing style, and the lyrics are at once seemingly offhanded and very clever. The whole album is very easy to listen to, remember, and sing along with. Even the fan most deeply rooted in Beatles music should appreciate the Rutles' "Archaeology" for the compliment it is to the Fab Four. Read more Less
