Cons: Doesn't have a camera ; Batteries waste really fast when listening to music and looking at pictures ;
I bought this 2 weeks ago and I still have it in its sexy, sleek, black color! The price isn't bad at all knowing that you can play 75 hours of video and hold 25,000 photos, and hold 7,500 songs all on the 30GB iPod. Also, this 30GB iPod is 30% t...hinner than the old 20GB model! Best iPod yet!!! Read more Less

Pros: Great design, bigger and better screen, black option
Cons: Freezes, battery lasts only 3-4 h, scratches easily especially on back and controller
I bought my 30g video 4 weeks ago, and here are some pros and cons: Pros; nice design, good sound quality (you can manually set an equalizer before you import songs using itunes if you like, since an equalizer on ipod doesnt do much justice), bigge...r and better screen. Cons; the first one I got had problems, it froze all the time, and was unresponsive, so I had to wait like a day before it started to work again (as a result, I exchanged it, if your ipod does this, take it back within 14 days, otherwise they will most likely repair it but not exchange it, who wants to spend $300~400 on a defect item!). Also, THAT first one had very minor scratches, so I am thinking it may have been a refurbished one. If apple has guts to sell a refurbished item as a NEW item, somebody better sue them. With my second one I have so far no problem. Also, the battery does not last as Apple claims, it lasts only 3~4 hours just listening to music (even when screen light is off). Lastly, it should come with an AC adapter like everyone else claims, it is too greedy for Apple to try to make money when they are already making tons. Take home message, when you purchase it make sure it is without any defects, and if unfortunately that is the case, EXCHANGE IT FAST! Apples 14 days return policy should be changed. I bought it at a local Apple store, but after 14 days if you have problems YOU have to send it back to Apple, and Apple stores wont do anything for you. I believe that if an item has issues, unless these issues are caused by costumers, Apple should let local Apple stores or any authorized dealers to exchange items even after 14 days. That is, if YOU APPLE thinks you can make a quality product, this shouldnt be any hustle. Read more Less

For occasional video viewing, Apple's new media player is a great choice.Don't get me wrong: The 2.5-inch screen on my $299, 30GB, black shipping model (the company also has a white 30GB version, plus $399, black and white 60GB versions) is absolutely beautiful. The 320-by-240-pixel screen is bright and sharp, and videos look great on it. In my hands-on tests it offered crisp playback with smooth movement. The unit ran videos at roughly 30 frames per second, the same as a broadcast TV signal. Read more
