    iPod Nano 8Gb

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Oct 15, 2006 | 18 out of 22 found this Apple iPod Nano 8GB - Black review helpful

    Pros: Slightly, stronger, large capacity

    Cons: No any con

t has a matte black finish, which picks up tons of fingerprints. Measuring 0.3 by 3.5 by 1.6 inches and weighing 1.4 ounces, the tiny player feels slightly smaller in the hand than the previous nano, partly because of the iPod-like rounded sides. The... LCD screen is still the same size and resolution as the old nano (1.5 inches diagonal, 176 by 132 pixels), but it is 40 percent brighter. The new nano comes with new packaging, a tiny clear-plastic box, and new earbuds, which are still white, but slightly smaller and more traditional looking. There's also a dock adapter and a USB charge/sync cable in the box. Conspicuously missing is any type of case or sleeve, though Apple did the same thing with the first-gen nano until enough customers complained about it. Read more Less

    iPod nano 8gb

    Pros: ease of use, portability

Cons: tinny sound, very little bass

i like it overall. it stores enough music so i never get bored listening to the same songs. it's thin and sleek and easy to carry discretely. the major drawback is the poor sound quality. there's virtually no bass. i'd recommend throwing ...away the headphones that come with it and investing in a pair that provides bass boosting. Not the best but still great

Pros: PC compability, portability, some nice features

Cons: scroll wheel shows scratch marks, EQ doesnt do anything, Price is same as the new 30gig iPod

Although there are a few technical glitches, the nano pulls through. Sure it doesnt have an integrated FM tuner (external FM tuner available seperately) but who needs radio when you've got your music to take with you. Sometimes the nano&#...39;s response time is inconceivably long but thats only sometimes. The real problem is the price, its the same as the 30gig iPod. Now why buy a 8 gig ipod nano with no video support when you can buy an iPod video with 30gigs? the answer is to have portability and not wanting to watch videos on a small screen. Overall i liked it. The EQ doesnt do anything at all but im okay with that. Hopefully Apple comes up with an update for that Read more Less

    8 gb nano

By Yahoo! Shopping User  May 20, 2007 | 2 out of 2 found this Apple iPod Nano 8GB - Black review helpful

Pros: light, easy to use, good capacity

    Cons: not many functions

i sold my 30 gb video last winter because it was bulky and i didnt need all the space. i bought the nano and its been awesome. ive never had problems with this. ive filled it up rather quickly because i do have about 10 gb of music, but theres enoug...h space to keep me going. some other mp3s have fm tuners and video, and thats probably all they have over the nano. only thing i miss from 30 gb is photos because ive filled my nano with music. Pros: Sturdy build, all metal, long battery life

Cons: bundled earphones are useless, no custom equalizer option, backlight cannot be dimmed

This is my first Ipod so I have no previous Ipods to compare it against. I badly wanted a new lager capacity mp3 player and couldn't decide on either the 30GB Ipod Video or this one, in the end I settled for this as judging by the state of my mob...ile phone (always dropping it), I think I'd be safer with the flash-memory based Nano. The Nano 8GB is all metal and when I bought it, it came with a whole lot of extra free stuff like a screen protector, arm band, a quick travel charger and a soft casing which slips onto the Nano live a perfectly fitting glove. I have so far filled it up to about 2 GB of songs and I have more stuff to put onto it. I also like the fact that I can easily plug it into any new PC and use it like a removeable storage drive. The display light is really bright and this makes viewing it easy in bright conditions but I think it also sucks up a lot of juice. I have the light turned off and only turn it on if I use it in totally dark conditions. I wish Apple had put in an option to dim the light, such as power saving - medium - full brightness. I also really LOVE the search feature. You can search through your gigabytes worth of music just by entering a word or letters and the Ipod will display a whole list of songs that has that word in its name or ID tags. Very very useful and it really makes locating a particular song real easy. This is real handy when you have several hundred or thousands of songs or sound clips stored on it You will have to download Itunes yourself as no disc is included. The included earphones are white in color and kinda clashes with the all metal and sleek black Nano. But my biggest gripe is just how useless these earphones are. They are the reason why I bump down the sound rating down to "just okay." You will most likely want to get a better pair as the included pair outputs very weak bass and sometimes distorts at louder volume. I like Sony's earphones as the bass boost is really good but they are a big larger for my ears to fit comfortably. The battery life is also EXCELLENT! I have been playing it for a long time now that I don't even remember but the battery is still going real strong. With the quick charger, I am able to get a full chrage in about two hours. Using the USB cable takes much longer. The tranfer rate is noticeably slower than my other USB 2.0 devices but still bearable and much faster than USB1.1 devices. I was able to tranfser a 2GB folder in about 8 minutes. I can do the same on my USB drive in about 3-4 minutes. All in all, I like this Ipod a lot, I just wish the earphones had more bass (the midrange and highs sound okay). I would highly recommend this to anyone who don't plan to watch videos on tiny screens and who are prone to accidentally drop (or likely to drop at least two or three times) their mp3 players. I give this Nano a 4 star value rating only as I think it could have been cheaper so as to be a better value compared to the larger Video Ipod. But then again, both will cater to different needs. Cons: expensive, needs external accessories

    TOO MUCH MONEY!!!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  May 11, 2008 | 1 out of 1 found this Apple iPod Nano 8GB - Black review helpful

Pros: Very nice sound quality, small, portable, but not perfect. The new ones are a lot better though

Cons: I got mine for like 100 bucks from apple BRAND new and they want this one for 300!!!!

I can't even belive they're asking for such a hefty price!! Get the BRAND new one from apple thats a lot better, holds more songs, and is way cheaper. I'm talking around 147$ for a 4gig!! It's a lot better and holds more!!

    Attempt to achieve perfection

By Yahoo! Shopping User  May 22, 2007 | 1 out of 1 found this Apple iPod Nano 8GB - Black review helpful

Pros: Design, support, quality of sound

    Cons: battery life

Apple company has always tried to achieve perfection and now they almost achieved it. When I bought iPod I was very excited. Once I started using it I couldn't stop till battery was completely depleted. I was very surprised that my iPod's bat...tery got depleted very soon. After 5 - 6 hours. But that is the only con you can find in my opinion. Not just that iPod Nano's sound quality is extremily good, it also looks "delicious". Even if it was terrible mp3 player I would buy it just for its design and appearence. But on the other hand iPod is very popular nowadays, so if you want to be unique, then don't buy it. Overall it's one of the best mp3 players you can buy and I would recommend it to everybody who seeks good mp3 player or / and are also very picky, when it comes to design. Read more Less

    Ipod nano

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Nov 3, 2007

Pros: Small, popular, not so bad battery life

Cons: No expansion slot, easly breakable, over priced

Ipods are very portable, though expensive, head phones our sub-par, screen in small and easily scratched, and needs glossy colors but no silver back.
