Take everything you love about iPod and shrink it. Now shrink it again. With 2GB (500 songs) and 4GB (1,000 songs) models starting at $199, the pencil-thin iPod nano packs the entire iPod experience into an impossibly small design. So small, it will take your music places you never dreamed of.

Believe Your Ears
Call it astonishing. Unbelievable. Impossible, even. Then pick it up and hold it in your hand. Take in the brilliant color display. Run your thumb around the Click Wheel. Put on the earbuds and turn up your music. That's when everything becomes clear: It's an iPod.

It holds up to three days' worth of music. It plays for up to 14 hours between battery charges. It displays the color album art for the song you're listening to right now. It carries your photos, podcasts and audiobooks. It syncs seamlessly with iTunes. It connects to a host of iPod accessories. Simply put, iPod nano is 100-percent iPod. And then some.

Touch and Go
iPod nano's Click Wheel puts music under your thumb. Click to fast-forward, rewind, play, pause or access menus. Use the touch-sensitive surface to control volume or browse music. You can do it all without looking. But with an iPod this beautiful, who'd want to?

Song Stylings
Add accessories to your iPod nano via the Dock connector and headphone jack and your music will always keep up with you - at home, on the go, even in your car. Of course, in either signature white or sleek black, iPod nano itself makes the ultimate accessory.

Up to 4GB of skip-free storage on a featherweight iPod means you can wear almost three days' worth of music around your neck. Or jog with 1,000 songs on your arm. Now that you can take your music everywhere, there's no limit to where it will take you.

    The iPod Nano's amazing

By JessamynD  Oct 14, 2005 | 137 out of 159 found this Apple iPod Nano 2GB Black review helpful

Pros: It's small size, features like games and pictures

    Cons: The Scratching Issue...

I know that others are saying that the iPod Nano scratches easily, but if you REALLY want a Nano, you can purchase a relatively cheap ($5) protective iPod nano cover from decalgirl.com in many designs (removable, too!). Ever since I covered it, I hav...en't seen one scratch b/c it's now protected. I've dropped my Nano a couple a times, even on the sidewalk once, and my Nano still looked and operated perfectly. With the additions of being able to view photos, a full cover screen and a small size, this iPod is definitely worth $199. The Mini seems heavy and mammoth compared to the Nano, so if you're an avid exerciser, it will probably be easier to work out with your lightweight Nano. Best of all is the Nano's battery life. I can get a couple more hours out of playing the Nano without recharging it than with the Mini. Overall, this is a excellent product, albeit with a few issues, but it's worth it! Read more Less

    Pros: GREAT !...EVERYTHING !

    Cons: Black...leaves finger prints

I have had my iPod Nano for about 3 months and I can't keep my-self away from it. This is my first iPod and this whole experience to me was different. The iPod Nano is the best iPod because of its features like, music, games, pictures, ect.. I ha...ve the 2gb. and I still havn't reached 500 yet but once I do my plan was to delete songs that i didn't like. Some parts i don't like about the Black Nano is finger prints...left and right i am pulling out a CD cleaner to clean it. My friends has the White Nano and the only part you can see finger prints is the back Buy this iPod...its THE best iPod.......EVER Sincerly Yahoo User ^.^ Read more Less

    Apple iPod nano Review

The iPod Mini was our favorite Apple iPod. We were very disappointed when we heard that Apple was going to cancel it and replace it with something new. After playing with the new iPod nano, we can say the new iPod is a worthy successor to the iPod Mini. We predict record iPod sales for Apple this Christmas. Read more
