AirPort Express with AirTunes is an incredible wireless product that allows you to play iTunes music over your wireless network to your home stereo or powered speakers. It also allows you to share both a broadband Internet connection for up to 10 users and a USB printer. If you already have wireless at home, powered by an AirPort Express or AirPort Extreme Base Station, you can easily extend the range of your wireless network by connecting a second AirPort Express to it. AirPort Express has a small unique design made for life on the go. There are no separate power supplies or cables required, making it easy and convenient to take with you. AirPort Express is also designed to fully support both Mac and PC users.

A great way to free your iTunes music

Pros: easy to use, reliable, compatibility
Cons: no picture or video support
I researched this product for months before finally buying it. I had tried other media streamers and digital media receivers and have been less than impressed. But this product changed all that by making it easy to set up and use, reliable, and wor...king seamlessly with iTunes. This product works great with a Windows system and iTunes and took about 15 minutes to set up, but I must admit the directions were not great. I now have a wireless and wired network with 5 of these Airports set up around the house streaming music all over the place. I rarely get dropped like some people have mentioned and my range is quite good. The only thing I would change is that I would love to also stream pictures and videos to my home theater system. Other than that addition I wouldn't change anything. Read more Less

Pros: real easy to use
Cons: none so far
this product is great i just plugged it in the wall then plugged my internet connection to the ethernet port and bam! it was up and running. but if you are connecting to a ISP that does not have DHCP then you must go and manually congfigure the IP ad...dress and what not. Read more Less

The AirPort Express certainly has a lot to offer in a small package, but the devices practicality may be relative only to a small subset of users. Those that specifically want to use iTunes for their music streaming and dont mind having to use their laptop will find the AirPort Express useful. Those that dont have a wireless network and only want wireless clients (10 or less) may also be interested in the product. The device may be perfect for those that live in a small apartment or dorm room and dont want a wired network and dont mind having their stereo in the same room as their printer. But if you plan on using all of the AirPort Express features, or already have a wireless network, you may want to reconsider.And while Apple wants you to believe that the $129 price is a steal, keep in mind that the package does not include any connectors for audio or Ethernet and the connection pack is an additional $39.
