Pros: easy to use, small and practicable
Cons: N/A
Here is my story of my Switch as new Mac users call it. I have been trying to find a good value entry product to change my PC and start using Mac instead.
Mac Mini is for me the best choice to try a new computing experience. Mac Os X is simple and very intuitble. Just a couple of minutes are required to start and have a grip of the features.
It is definitely a product I recommend for people willing to start with Mac OS X.
Pros: about as powerful as an apple laptop, great styling and amazing functioning for such a small package
Cons: needs more USB ports
I like it! it's cool and small and got my grandpa sayin "technology these days". I wish it had more ports for all my attatchables but bluetooth makes up for most of it. If you like to own the coolest toys then go for this...you'll love it. If you want a free one you can do what i did. freemacminis.cjb.net
Pros: FREE!
Cons: NONE!

Pros: small, powerful
Cons: default memory configuration, 1 firewire port
The design is small and compact. Very easy to setup - Less than 15 minutes from unpacking, plugging, registering and surfing the net.
I upgraded to 1 GB memory and I can really tell the difference in performance over the standard 256 MB. The upgrade was from an Ebay company...which is where I also purchased the mini.
It is quiet, although the fan will turn on when the CPU is working hard. I purchased a Lacie DVD Burner with Lightscribe technology. It is awesome! iDVD works great with it.
My Sony Digital 8 Handycam connected with no problem. My Kodak EasyShare digital camera was a snap to connect.
I do recommend getting a USB extension cable for easily connecting and disconnecting USB devices.
Works great with the HP Deskjet 6540.
Pros: none
Cons: can't run / of the software I would use, memory
not worth much unless you are an apple lover.
Pros: Uh yea...Pros?
Cons: Where do i start?
Apple's lineup is visually attractive to many people. This is the type of person who thinks when buying a car "Oh, I want that Pretty, Cute, Blue one". But what purpose do these computers have in life other than browsing the internet, making neat little pictures, and plugging your ipod into. Ever wonder why corporations don't use apple computers? The answer is because they are wothless. They offer very few solutions to satisfy business needs and offer poor media options. However, I must admit, they are very easy to use. A third grader could easily operate one. That's why some people with the mental capacity of a squirrel love these magnificent machines. There are not alot of options in working with apple software which makes them easy to use. A word of advice for anyone interested in purchasing a computer that they can actually use .... "hp.com"
Pros: Os X tiger is very stable and easy to use
Cons: could be faster
I traded in a top of the line AMD 64 with 1 gig of memory for a mac mini with superdrive. The mac is much more stable, is far eaier to use and the unit is very quiet. The PC sounded like a 747 in my basement and I was concerned that the cats would get sucked into the computer. The computer could benefit from a faster hard drive. The mac mini is essentially a laptop converted into a very solid desktop computer. Os X is a revelation for former windows users.
I have used PCs since 1991, I will never go back to windows.
Pros: Does all I ask it and much more
Cons: gets lost under the paper
I loved my i mac and was hesitant about this processor. Haven't noticed anything but most of my stuff is academic. Going to get a "real speaker' though.
Pros: stilish !!
Cons: you pay way to much for what you get
the mini imac 1,4 gigaherts is a perfect computer except for tha fact that its way to expensive compared with a small form factor dell PC.. for the price you pay for the mini imac, you might be better off buying a laptop
Pros: Small and tidy
Cons: Slug , unless memory upgraded
There are some things coincidental in this world. Like there are only around 3%,worldwide, of people who use an Apple computer.
There are 3% of people, worldwide, of people in the top IQ organisation MENSA
Pros: been wanting this
Cons: cool
This is just fine
Pros: size, features, mac-os, ease of use, price, etcetra.
Cons: need a faster hard drive, 5400rpm would be nice.
After using a PC with Windows for 8 years and getting too many BLUE screens, I was ready to chuck the computer altogrther. A pal I know who shares a certain passion for fine watches asked me why I don't look into a Mac...I said I didn't know!
A few days later I checked out the local Apple store and was amazed at the hardware. It took me about 5 trips and some internet searching to finally say to my self to go forward with the Mini with 1 gig of ram.
Needless to say I was very surprised to see this in my house.
Once you get over the windows way of using the Mac, you'll find out what all the hoopla is about!
I will NOT go back to Windows. Do your self a favor, check it out!!!
GPLEE
Pros: Small footprint, quiet operation, up & running in minutes, fair price
Cons: A bit sluggish without memory upgrade to 512 mb minimum, not easy to upgrade
For day-to-day operations here in our small business the Mac Mini does just fine. While it certainly doesn't have the horsepower of a G-5 it does have plenty of processing power for our needs: maintaining several databases, accounting records, basic word processing and internet use via broadband.
Would strongly recommend memory upgrade to AT LEAST 512 mb. And buy a USB before leaving the store. You'll need it.
Overall the Mac Mini's a small, stable, fairly priced little workhorse that easily covers basic computer operations needs.
Pros: small and great for a kid or first time user
Cons: way too expensive ..... for what you get
I don't like it, took it back
you can buy a fully loaded PC for $750 these days
with a 200 gig HD,512 mb ram,dual layer DVD,mouse,keyboard and speakers.
With a 80 gig drive and 256 mb mem ... I could'nt do anything with this Piece 'O Shite ...... Where is my keyboard?
