This debut from Guns'N'Roses is one of the BEST albums ever recorded.
Every single song is awesome, and worth checking out.
This band showed so much potential, it was predicted that they would go far.
A different kind of band with a different kind of sound from the 1980's.
Definately worth getting.

the songwriting is a bit uneven but they have great singles and most importantly they rock! the guitars are incredible and they put hard rock back into the mainstream. can u ask for more? (+ it's their best album)

Guns N' Roses were voted #7 on the 100 greatest hard rock bands on VH1. I agree. Guns N' Roses show so much originality and spirit. Slash's solos are truely what metal is about. Axl's voice matches the tone to the music. Steven Adler definetly rocks on drums. This album is one of the greatest metal albums of all time. Classic stuff. Best songs: Welcome To The Jungle, Nightrain, Out Ta Get Me, Paraidise City, My Michelle, and my favorite: Sweet Child O' Mine. You want some real classic metal, you want this album. Rock on.

APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION is an AWSOME album!!! I LOVE every single song on it, especially my michelle, it's so easy, nightrain, and of course, sweet child o' mine, paradise city, and welcome to the jungle. ive learned 3 songs off this album and love it to bits. if u dont like this album then your just not a g n' r fan...

This is one of the greatest albums ever made. Guns N' Roses is my all time favorite band. My favorite songs are Welcome To The Jungle, It's So Easy, Nightrain, Out Ta Get Me, Mr. Brownstone, Paradise City, My Michelle, Sweet Child O' Mine, and Rocket Queen. I didn't really like Think About You, You're Crazy, and Anything Goes but they're still better than most songs. If you think you're a GN'R fan you gotta know songs besides Welcome To The Jungle, Sweet Child O' Mine, Paradise City, and November Rain. You also have to have all of the albums. End Of Story.

Guns N' Roses has had one of the biggest impacts in rock history despite being around for a short time. They were the last dying breath from a music scene that dwindled to grunge in the 90's. Truly, they saved the best for last. Sweet Child of Mine was voted to have the best riff of all-time. Appetite was voted the best hard rock cd of all-time. Appetite is the highest ever selling debut cd of all-time. Since the year 2000, Appetite has still averaged 50,000 copies sold per. month. The list could go on forever, but I don't have the space. This is the best rock album ever.
Great musicianship,songwriting & presentation. As for the racism/homophobia, jesus christ, dont you just hate it when people are so PC that it coimpletely blinds them to great music. I wish the homosexual community would just except that not everywhone in the world loves them, in a perect world, gays,straights,blacks & whities could live in peace, but then its not a perfect world, so why the !$£* do you kid yourselves?Was this review helpful? This is definetely some of the best music I've heard.Aerosmith is the only thing better.From songs 1-12,this album is just one of the great ones.Welcome To The Jungle,Nightrain,Rocket Queen,Sweet Child O Mine,Out Ta Get Me,It's So Easy,and Mr.Brownstone are all great while the rest are all pretty god damn good themselves.For all idiots calling Guns N Roses a disgrace to metal,they're a hard rock band,not a metal band.Go back to school and learn that.And another thing for the idiots who don't like this,go listen to Korn,Slipknot,death/black metal,or the overrated Nirvana,who are all bleak in comparison to the Gunners.
