The deranged colonel murders hundreds of innocent people and constructs a strange kingdom for himself deep in the jungle, where he is deified by his followers.

Francis Ford Coppola has added 53 minutes of additional footage, including The French plantation sequence, an expanded Playboy playmates sequence, a new scene with Marlon Brando, and new footage of the navy patrol boat near the beginning of the journey up river.

    The original version was powerful, moving, and an all around wonderful film. I did not think it could be improved upon, yet the revised film (Redux) is to say the least a MASTERPIECE. A must see for everyone. The characters are more developed, th...e scope of what was happening and the feeling of the film are more evolved. The psychological aspect of who this man was and what brought him to where he is now is truely amazing. Redux is a powerful film, it hits the core and is mesmerizing. Redux doesn't take you along for a ride it makes you part of every twist and turn. Read more Less

    Simply put, a great movie has just became a masterpiece. The added extras have confirmed it as one of the greatest movies ever filmed. Coppola has proved his genius once again.
