The origins of the Brooklynbased rock group Apes Androids go back to a third grade class in New Jersey where future singer/guitarists Brian Jacobs and David Tobias met. Soon they were writing music. While attending different colleges, they still wrote together long distance, and they later reunited to form the band. Apes Androids are known for highly theatrical live performances. They selfreleased their debut album Blood Moon through iTunes on January 22, 2008.
