World fusion guitarist and composer Anthony Hindson was born in London, and began playing music at age seven. During the 1970s he tenured with a series of prog-rock bands, but while visiting California he attended a live performance by sarode master Ustad Ali Akbar Khan and was so profoundly impacted that he immediately relocated to India to study guitar and Indian classical music under Khan's auspices.
