Surely one of the best packages ever released. Coming shortly after the success of the Beatles Anthologies this four cd set is highly recommended to all John Lennon fans. Listening to the outtakes, to the alternative song interpretations and paying attention to all the dialogues and comments during the recording sessions, one can get a very specific idea of John's evolution and progress during his solo carrier starting with the sessions of "Plastic Ono Band" and ending up with the recording sessions for "Double Fantasy".

This is an excellent and comprehensive look into the making (demos, alternate versions, etc) of Lennon's songs. His talent is unquestioned, and his gift for songwriting unmatched.

So many rare songs! I advise everybody to listen to his last songs which are on the 4th CD. Some of them were not released even on Milk And Honey album, so they are really rare.

no matter what anyone says or does, lennon was the best man ever to step foot on the face of the earth. even though i wasnt born when he passed away. he dedicated his life to world peace. john will live in the hearts of most people for the rest of time. he left a permanent mark on the world. after 20 years of his tragic death, john still reaches a large audience with this large 4 disc anthology collection
it's a history of this man who taught me love ,peace, and mutual understanding and communication
john was a preacher, a saint, sometimes he was satan himself, he was a teacher, a father, a friend
