Pros: Grass Roots history, great liner notes and photos

Cons: None, except right now it's out of print. But you can get it.

A good look (and listen) at the history of a group that stuck tenaciously to their quest for the next hit, and the next, and the next, and the next... Includes the Bill Fulton version of Where Were You When I Needed You, which might fill out your col...lection, if you've already got the PF Sloan and Rob Grill versions. But there's so much more! All the best music from the albums, and for dessert become re-acquainted with the 70s hits like Glory Bound and the Runway, and that super Rob Grill version of Love is What You Make It, 2nd to last on the CD. And Mamacita, an acquired taste, but worth the effort. Good sound, in fact I swear I never heard some of those vocal embellishments on the albums. Read more Less
