Chow Yun Fat delivers a heartwarming performance that should finally earn him star status in America, and Jodie Foster is, as always, a magnetic screen presence. Their relationship, which is sparked by a just-beneath-the-surface romantic undercurrent, propels the story forward and provides it with its emotional core. As the film builds to its exciting climax, the relationship between the two is tested even further.

    Pros: Awesome movie, Jodie Foster

    Cons: Director,and Chow Yun Fat

    "Anna and the King" is a brilliantly made movie. I am not a big fan of Andy Tennant's films, but this one I will make an exception. Jodie Foster is my favorite actress,and I absolutely love her work. She did an anmazing job in "The... Silence of the Lambs", and was awesome in "Anna and the King". I however did not like Chow Yun Fat's performance. It was overly played and was agressive, yet sensitive. That was one on the few things I liked about his performance. Overall, the movie was amazing, and I recommend everybody to see it atleast twice. Read more Less
