Pros: This volume has all of the original Season 1 episodes.
Cons: Not really many.
Yakko, Wakko and Dot have finally come to DVD, along with all of their friends, including a certain megalomaniacal mouse (say that three times fast). The Animaniacs was one of the most underrated cartoons of the '90's. The show hit the air at time when young audiences were more interested in action cartoons and shows. The Warners' brand of comedy was more physical (which is trademark of classic comedy), along with that of Slappy Squirrel. One cannot ignore the introdction of the infamous Brain (a world domination obsessed lab rat) and his brainless British partner Pinky. The duo eventually earned their own offshoot show thanks to their popularity. Both that show and the Animaniacs were sadly cancelled before their time because they were smart comedy. American audiences both young and old were not then, and in large part today, are not into smart comedy. While the show may have ended before its time, fans can smile knowing they will eventually be able to own every season ON DVD to watch until milk shoots from their noses. ...
