Pros: Rob Halford returns
Cons: Can't think of any
The first album for JUDAS PRIEST reunited with Rob Halford.
It almost feels like they were never apart.
The songs are awesome, both lyrically and musically.
From Judas Rising through Lochness, this album is a roller coaster ride with lyrics that tie back to either PRIEST songs from the past, or previous album titles.
A perfect way to tie the past and present together.
This is not Painkiller Part 2; this is PRIEST celebrating being PRIEST and having Halford back.
This album is reminiscent of Halford's solo release Resurrection which showcased his return to heavy metal; where Angel Of Retribution showcases the true return of JUDAS PRIEST.
Definately worth getting.

Pros: halford!
Cons: none
With the return of Rob Halford comes the return of the classic Priest sound. This one sounds closer to Defenders of the Faith or Painkiller than the thrashier stuff they did with Ripper Owens. Great guitarwork all around from KK and Glenn. Rob's voice is still in top form. What a great welcome back!
Pros: From start to finish it is Judas Priest (old school)
Cons: Sound is a little grainy
Rob is back- This is their best album since Defenders of the Faith.
Pros: Haven't departed from their distinctive sound
Cons: Can't think of any
Man, it feels good to be one of the first 10,000 or so to listen to this album.
Halford's back!!!
It feels like Priest simply took off from where they'd stopped with Painkiller. Halford sounds better than ever, and strangely enough sounds incredibly like Bruce Dickinson (to my ears, atleast).
I won't review each song, because that's just silly (and I run the risk of perpetuating my biases by doing so). It feels like each song moves seamlessly to the next, so not only are the songs impressive, so is their layout. No fillers, period. After having listened to the album for the first time, you will be able to recall every song.
Which is the best song? Tough, because i've listened to each of them only a couple of times. But, the one I want to listen to again and again is the last one. Since ROTAM I can't remember having listened to a song of such epic proportions.
Also, be sure to buy the limited edition album with the DVD. It's only very slightly more expensive. I haven't watched the DVD, but I'm sure it's great.
All I can say is that if you like Priest, I don't really see you not enjoying AOR (aka Nemesis!).
