Scottish soprano Andrew Johnston left his hometown of Dumfries in 2008 to appear on the second season of the popular U.K. television program Britain's Got Talent. The precocious 14yearold managed to secure third place and was promptly signed to nefarious judge Simon Cowell's SyCo Music label. The resulting One Voice, which featured a duet with fellow child singer and Britain's Got Talent contestant Faryl Smith, was released later that year and debuted at number four on the U.K. album charts.
