HE IS NO NINJA !!!
Stay away from this one if you actualy know anything about ninjas. The acting was bad, and the only thing that the ninja extras did correctly was get beaten up. Joe's ninjutsu teacher even called one of the ninja weapons by the wrong name!

AMERICAN NINJA is corny, poorly acted, but fun to watch only for the fact of a young military ninja kicking the crap out of other ninja warriors while stationed in the Phillippines. Not for all tastes, only for fans of Golan-Globus action films such as DEATH WISH 3, MISSING IN ACTION, and ENTER THE NINJA. If you like this film, see its sequel AMERICAN NINJA 2: THE CONFRONTATION.

Michael Dudikoff gives an amazing performance as Joe Armstrong,a mysterious Army soldier who keeps to himself until his squad is ambushed by ninjas! Joe Armstong is blamed for the attack and put in jail. Now it is up to him to save the day against an army of ninjas led by the evil Redstar ninja!
