With map coverage across United States and Canada, you can go where you want, and Blackbird will guide your way. View 6 million Point of Interests locations on an anti-glare 3.6" LCD touch screen. Alpine's exclusive Graphical User Interface (GUI for Drivers) screen graphics deliver easy-to-understand, at a glance on-screen driving directions, as well as simple and easy to use menus and controls.

Now that you're on the go with Blackbird, why not take some time to play? Blackbird can function as a navigation system and music player simultaneously, using its built-in SD/MMC card slot. A built-in USB 2.0 connection makes loading your favorite MP3 files and map software updates a breeze! Listen to your Blackbird from your car's radio or through headphones. Blackbird's unique NaviMix function automatically lowers the volume of the music playback during voice-delivered driving instructions.

Universal cigarette lighter power adapter, carrying case and wiping cloth, PC mini-USB cable, replaceable lithium battery included. Blackbird has an optional Second Car Kit, making sharing between family vehicles easy and simple.

    Pros: Easy to install and use

    Cons: not reliable; take too long to fix and accquire gps signal; gps signal will disappear in the middle of trip and needs to be resetted constantly

    This is a very unreliable GPS and I will not recommend this to anyone. It is so unreliable and you can end up in a very bad neighborhood quickly. My family had a horrified experience with this unit as it led us to a totally wrong area. The unit needs... to be resetted constantly during the trip. Do NOT BUY THIS!!! Read more Less

    Pros: Integrates with Alpine Head Unit

    Cons: Locks up, wrong directions.

    When this unit works it's great, but it has taken me on some wild rides. When I am going on a trip I always take a print-out with me from Google maps in case the blackbird decides to go nuts. One time I was trying to go to a regular address in do...wntown Los Angeles and it led me to the docks at San Pedro. This unit is not ready; they should recall it. Read more Less
