Danish pop act Alphabeat, made up of members Anders SG(vocals), Stine Bramsen (vocals), Anders B (guitar), Rasmus Nagel (keyboard), Anders Reinholdt (bass), Troels Hansen (drums), entered the European pop scene with force in 2007 with their debut selftitled record. Featuring singles like "10,000 nights," "Boyfriend" and the eponymous "Fascination," Alphabeat rocketed to the top of Danish pop charts. Sending three hits to national Top 5 charts, the band peaked interest throughout the European continent, called �the best band ever' by popjustice magazine. Band members met one another in 2004, quickly taking to the vibrant regional festival scene, building their fan base slowly, performance by performance. Incorporating elements of the B52's and Wham, Alphabeat's 80's nostalgiaridden charm proved irresistible to audiences all over the continent. Signed to Copenhagen Records, Alphabeat set out to bring their neonclad toothaching sugar pop music to audiences far and wide. Alphabeat featured repertoire written primarily by the band's guitarist Anders and produced pop veteran Runes Westberg. The record's leading single "Fascination" spread the band's popularity throughout the internet, scoring more than 100,000 plays in just a few short months. The song earned gold status via internet sales alone. Their meteoric national success caught the attention of label execs outside Danish borders, including the international booking agency The Global Talent Group and numerous English record companies hoping to rerelease the band's debut album in Great Britain. Alphbeat maintains a busy touring schedule, entertaining audiences throughout England, Denmark and Germany.
