    Timeless Piece of Art...

    By John  Aug 4, 2002

The proverbial "soundtrack" to one's life could boast no sweeter a companion than the masterfull beauty that is the work of a young Allan Rich. Originally, Charlie Rich Jr. (son of the late country music legend Charlie Rich) his name was for a brief ...time changed to disengage himself from his father's legacy. The golden vocal stylings of the then sixteen-year-old protegy proved to echo the sounds of greats like James Taylor, coupled with a niche for lyrics and composition next to the likes of Stevie Wonder and Sir Paul McCartney. The little-known 1974 debut touted a strong line of passionate tracks that would be sure to stir the soul of anyone with even the slightest taste for good, honest music. With the exception of the loosely fitting country tracks such as "River City Blues" and a cover of Charlie Rich's "Break Up", this album is bar-none of the best I've ever had the pleasure of lending an ear to.jas6897@yahoo.com Read more Less
