Canadian filmmaker Allan Moyle makes offbeat independent and mainstream Hollywood films of varying quality. His best-known film is the 1990 ">Pump up the Volume. Educated at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, Moyle started out working closely with Canadian independent filmmaker ">Outrageous. He debuted in Hollywood with Time Square in 1980 and scored a critical flop.
