I wore out 2 cassettes of ALL FOR YOU last April till my player chewed the title track. I was literally forced to buy the CD! Janet sounds really great in "Someone To Call My Lover" and "Son of A Gun (I Betcha Think This Song Is About You)" Who would have ever thought Janet Jackson and Carly Simon would sound great together? The album shines through and through but Janet's lovemaking rhapsodies are lame enough to make anticipate the other tracks. Jackson's musical palate guarantees a each and every music lover that her latest effort is ALL FOR YOU.

I gotta agree with my dogg. I love Janet to death, but I'm sorry she is not, ever was, or ever will be better than brother Michael. More people show up to see Michaels glove than to a 3 hour Janet Jackson concert. The Truth hurts.
Even if you watch the "Scream" video which is one of my favorite MJ videos both put on a great performance but Michaels was clearly better. Just like in all of his videos. I'm a big fan of Janet, and the rest of the Jackson family but Michael is #1 Janet is #2 followed by Jermaine, Randy, Rebbie, Jackie, Tito, Marlon, then of course you cannot forget LaToya.

Better Than Michael

I have been a die hard Janet fan since the very beginning also seeing her in concert. However, I felt this album was shadowed by the bitterness of a failed marriage too much. Especially in You Ain't Right and Son Of A Gun. The unexpected Janet conversations in the studio that were recorded by Jam & Lewis should have not appeared on the album at all. I definitely felt the highpoint was Doesn't Really Matter. Nice danceable section at the end. This album is much better than Michael's. I'm sorry but there is no comparison.

Although Janet has been around so long, I still love her sweetness,naughtyness, and intense passion in her music.I've loved her since the Control album came out. I was so young and envyious of her dance moves.I love the song "Someone to call my lover".She really proved her icon status for MTV. She is beautiful and although others may call her outdated. I disagree and will always love her work even when she's 60 years old.

A few people have stated that Janet Jackson is a "no talented slut." Ok, well her first two cd's didn't go over well, even though they had good production and direction. Then on "Control" and every album since, albums that she finally was able to produce and write on, sold millions of albums and she rose to superstar status, with a string of hits.
If Janet had no talent, she wouldn't still be successful after all these years. She would have gone off to pasture like so many others. The fact that she writes all her music, maybe not all the beats, and is still here after 15 years and two initial flop albums is a true testament to her abilities.
Sure "all for you" isn't the greatest, it sure doesn't beat "Velvet Rope" or "Rhythem Nation" in concept, but it's typical Janet. She didn't take many risks on this one, but the talent and creative force is still there. You can't deny "SomeOne to Call My Lover" or "Trust a Try" and their wonderful hooks and lyrics as well as almost all her other songs. She's just as strong as ever, she's still amazingly creative and beautiful.

Janet has been my favorite singer since I was five years old. She got me into the habit of singing and acting in my hometown and i always wanted to marry her. Now that I've grown, she has become more of a favorite along with her brother Michael, and i've started to realize that she isn't the one for me (age wise)...
Janet was my first everything...My first fav, first love, first performing concert, and others. I've loved many of her songs for the longest of time, especially NASTY...
She has came out with many albums which i've enjoyed over the years and has been a sweet success in every which way.She is a true icon and role model for many of the divas out there today.

All 4 U... The cd had many good songs on it, but it lacked in some areas. She had been creative, but to tell the truth her album had too many slow songs in it...The first few songs i liked on the ablum were YOU AIN'T RIGHT, ALL 4 U, COME ON GET UP, WOULD U MIND, TRUST A TRY, SON OF A GUN, SOMEONE TO CALL MY LOVER, and DOESN'T REALLY MATTER (8 out of 20)...This basically is her entire cd and I rate it on a scale of 1-5...a 4...because her album wasn't as rich and pure as I thought it would be and many of these songs I had to listen to a trillion times before actually liking them...

All 2GETHER...her album is nice and good..but it could have been better...I don't know what it is missing but it needs a little spice...

Janet Jackson, The Queen Of POP Is back with an album in which every songs delievers an upbeat and new sound, Janet sounds like she has never sound before, She sounds free, like she has nothing holding her back and there is no one to stop her. After all Ms. Jackson has been through this year, she still holds her head up and delievers a very nice and smooth album that is polished to perfection. It is good to know that the Queen Of POP is back to retain her throne and show all these wanna-be Janet Jacksons that, there can be only ONE" Janet jackson and here she does just that, she proves her existence is not extinct. I believe this album is by far her best album since her "Control" album. "Janet" & the "Velvet Rope" albums were both good albums but they lacked the youthfulness and the newness to the music world that Janet's third album "Control" possess. But with her new album" All For You" her new image and extending success is by far the best that I have seen in years from Janet. The strings which were attached to Janet is now gone and as we can see, a beautiful young shy girl has grown up and become our loveable and beautiful Queen Of POP...Ms. Janet Damita Jackson.
