Mississippi-born vocalist/drummer Al Wilson had two Top Ten RB hits and one number one pop record among a string of fine singles issued in the late '60s and early '70s. Wilson moved from Mississippi to California in the late '50s, and sang with The Rollers from 1960 to 1962. He was a member of Johnny Harris the Statesmen in the mid-'60s and then signed with Soul City in the late '60s.
