Airplane II: The Sequel
, February 5, 2001Reviewer: James Bruce - See all James Bruce's reviewsAltough not as funny, or clever, as the original film, there is enough new material to ensure that it is hysterical. There are many memorable moments, such as the spotlight on the cabaret singer, and the brutal flooring of an elderly woman. The plot is similar to the first film with Ted Striker intent on getting his girl (Elaine) back, and saving the lives of the doomed passengers. This time, however, it's in space, which allows for an amusing cameo from William Shatner. This is my "nd favourite comedy film ever (only behind the original), and I was shocked that I'm miles away in London and I was the first person to review it. I think it's fantastic, and if you don't agree, e-mail me on Fistmonkey@yahoo.com to say why. ...
