Upon leaving the Blondie-esque new wave outfit Nervus Rex in the early '80s, Lauren Agnelli formed an unsuccessful folk-rock group called the Washington Squares. In the 1990s, she revisited the style in a duo with Dave "Rave" Des Roches, appropriately called Agnelli and Rave. Their LP Cowboy Flowers Sessions was released in 1995.
