War Chiefs: Great Expansion But for What Price?

Pros: Great New Features/ New Civilizations/ New Units/ New Maps/ New Storyline

Cons: Overpriced/ WAY Too Much Memory Used/ No Customizations for Indian Civilizations

Age of Empires III: War Chiefs is a great expansion to the already great RTS game Age of Empires III. The new features added into the game are very fun, realistic, and also pretty darn cool. You can now revolt against your home country and build stea...mships in the industrial age. You can now play an Native American Civilization which is somewhat reminiscent of the original Age of Empires. There are a few new units which are both cool and functional. The best addittion in my opinion are the new maps. There are 7 completely new maps and now large versions of old maps are available. The new storyline is also fun and pretty entertaining and challenging. Warchiefs does have some major flaws however. First, the game is way overpirced. Better to wait until it is around $15-$20. The most upsetting problem wiht the game however is the MASSIVE amount of memory it requires. 2,936 MB! That's more than the original game! Personally, I enjoy customizing my cities with special citizens, lights, etc. There are no customizations available for the Native American civilizations. I was really dissapointed about this one. But overall, this is a great expansion pack for an already great game. I had gotten bored with the original Age of Empires, but with the expansion pack it's like I'm playing a new game! Read more Less
