Ive been playing this game for almost as long as it has been out, and I cant say enough good things about it. I have yet to find anything that can even come close to it. I played the first Age of Empires and though impressed the second devestates it and all others. No game can come close to everything this game has to offer. You can play as some of historys greatest leaders, and there are so many ways to build an empire. I can rave about the greatness of this game for quite some time but I think Im gonna cut it short.

HEY HEY HEY! Microsoft is a good company. Xbox and soso. But sometimes Microsoft is well well not so good. Sometimes they make a game based on another. Microsoft should think about their games before they post it. Now i like history games don't get me wrong. But sometimes it goes plop! My opinion only play this game if you have played the original series. Or else it'll be odd.

This is a great strategy game. I am 57 years old and as the game progresses, the difficulty becomes more evident. The game truely taxes your strategic capabilities.

Though the graphics and sound are not anything to get excited about, they are not that bad. What drives this game is the quality of the play, something that many games of today lack. Age of Empires II offers many hours of gameplay that is challenging. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys the "Sim City" genre.

Get AOE expansion for different and more challenging civilizations. A true historical depiction of past rulers, governments, technology, and cultures. Best buy!!!

AOE2 is one of the best games out since AOE1. The game has crashed only once in over 2yrs. It is very well priced and runs smoothly.

This clan NBS(NoBackStabbers) Leader here. I reccently got this game and the only thing I don't like about it is that it takes fffooorrreeevvveeerrr to destroy buildings. Its not like the buildings were that strong back then. Whoever figured villigers could be shot several times with firey projectiles. With all this trash-talk you might be wondering why I gave it a 4**** star rating. Well this game is very complex and requires skill to play. 1 final downside is that microsoft uses it's internet explorer for online gaming. This strikes me as kind of pathetic. Also to get an online account requires much work. I myself gave up on trying that. Anyways I'm to busy to play anymore games because of my clan.
