Cons: camera angles are limited
A good way to describe "Age of Empires II" is to compare it to "Civilization." The games are very much alike, and if you like one, you probably will like the other. "Age of Empires II" is more about combat and building up your military, unlike "Civilization" that allows you to beat your enemies peacefully if you choose.
Lots of playing options helps make the game more enjoyable, since you aren't stuck in the same routine. In this game you can play multiplayer over a LAN or the Internet, or play single player with a choice of playing a random map, a standard or custom scenario.
