Best R&B Album
Pros: It had terrific lyrics and Brandy had a very mature sound.
Cons: I felt as if the CD had too much of a pop sound.
Brandy's 2004 album, Afrodisiac, it is current studio album. This is her BEST CD yet. Brandy teamed up with Timbaland on this album and he really brought out the passion in her. This CD has a little bit of everything. It has slow jams, (Should I Go, I Tried, Finally, & Focus) Mid-tempo relationship songs, (Who Is She 2 U, Talk About Our Love- feat. Kanye West, & Where You Wanna Be-feat. T.I.), and club bangers, (Afrodisiac, Come As You Are, Sadiddy, & Turn It Up). Brandy had also brought a more mature sound to the album. The only problem is I feel as if most of the album has too much of a pop sound. But, no matter what, Brandy still came through and this has to be the Best R&B Album.

This album is truly amazing. I can not sit here and describe the greatness of this album or this artist. Both the album and brandy are one of a kind. Don't let the sales of this album fool you, its true a great album. Fav tracks: "Talk About Our Love", "Sadiddy", "I Tried", "Afrodisiac", "Who I Am", Say You Will", "How I feel" and "Focus" as you can see, I named most of the album. its truly perfection!

Brandy Afrodisiac CD was a job well done infectious and deep lyrics uptempo beats and a mesmerizing voice which is like a breath of fresh air I feel this is her best album to date she really shined on this album much love to ya Brandy keep the good music comming cause you are one of only the artist nowadys that can still produce a HOT RNB album.

Pros: Her Beautiful Voice
Cons: Some Of The Beats Overpower Her Voice
I was just listening to this CD and knew I had to come back and give a review (better late than never). Brandy was trully missed by this fan and I was sooo glad she dropped another CD. With the help of Kanye West, she dropped a hot first single "Talk About Our Love"...with that I knew this CD would be tight. My two other favorites are "How I Feel" & "Should I Go". They are both melodically beautiful and I can't stop listening to them over and over again. I dig the ColdPlay sample on the later, I thought that was cool. I hope Brandy continues making good music.

This is a great record! This is the frst brandy album i've ever purchased after being an off and on fan of her. She nailed it here, the songs are awesome, timbo and kanye did an excellent job with the tracks, and the album is the perfect length. the most amazing part of the album is how she seems to bare her soul to the world about her marriage and life. The best tracks are "who is she to you", "where you wanna be", the intro, and the last two songs!

Overall this is great album. She took it to a more mature level than Full Moon but she did an excellent job doing it. I definitely request this CD to anybody.

Has not been out of my C.D. player since I got it...I always LOved Brandy, and I coped this when it first came on the shelves w/out a doubt that it was gonna suck...and my judgements were right.Off the chain beats, and Lyrics that got your head swanging from beginning to end.tIMBALAND AND kANYE are AT THEIR GREATEST on this CD..this is the type of c.d that you can just let it play ALL the way on a road trip, in the shower, exercising...ANYWHERE! I thank her so mcuh for this b/c she has really showed us the true meaning of the development of a woman...GO GILR.KEEP DOING YA THING!If you buy this....NO REGRETS....promise! 100 STARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been a Brady fan from jump. This lived up to my expectations. There weren't any songs that I just had to rewind and listen to over and over. 'Never say Never' is still my favorite.

okay i am a huge brandy fan i been a fan of hers for shes and i been waiting on this album for about a year and its just what i thought it was a great album its better than beyonces debut last summer this album is hot,sexy,cool and all grown up the album people can really relat to it bacause it talks about love lost,new found love,the music industry,her marriage and the list keeps going on she has a lot of wonderful songs on this album even a hand fuel of singles this album has 15 tracks and i can say only one i'm not really into .
i recommend people go cope this album so brandy can be number 1 and if you thought beyonce,monica,alicia,ash

Afrodisiac is a touching glimpse into the soul of a woman who has experienced and overcome a great deal of turmoil; a lifelike blending of sadness and happiness, softness and edginess.
There was still some of the busyness that detracted from Full Moon, but this album is nevertheless a significant improvement. Brandy this time shows even more conviction and believable emotion.
I'd have liked to hear the vocals more 'unplugged.' While Brandy did do a very good job on vocals, the heavy use of layering tended to take focus away from them. Still, Brandy's got a very sweet, soft voice that makes for some very pretty ballads. That's not to say it's all soft; there are some sassy numbers, too.
Brandy's performance on this album is not only skillful, but also personal, genuine, and beautiful; although I miss the vocal clarity that made Never Say Never my all-time favourite. You will definitely want both in your music collection.Was this review helpful? Yes - NoCould have done better

This is not my favorite Brandy album. The best song is Talk about our love with Kanye West. This album is too uptempo. I want to hear some more love ballads. This album is basically about her ex-husband and why she left him. (Boring, she could have made better use of her songs). Thank god it was only 9.99. This isn't an instant hit album for me. I guess it will take a few more run throughs before I am feeling it.

Brandy's new album, Afrodisiac, is one of her best one that she has released. On her last song called "Should I Go" she talked about leaving the music industry for good. When I heard that song, I thought to myself "Did she really feel that way?" I'm glad that she decided to stay in the music industry. I give this album 5 stars!
