AeroGauge Nintendo 64

AeroGauge blasts you through four futuristic courses (plus two hidden) at nearly 1,000 miles per hour. Choose one of five high-speed Aeromachines (five more are waiting to be unlocked) and prepare to race from a behind the ship, third-person default view. Not only will you find yourself racing on the ground, but you will be able to soar above the courses as well. Elevate over obstacles, past enemies, and to find various shortcuts. Keep in mind that your craft can suffer damage while racing, so you may need to make a pit stop to replenish lost energy.

Four modes of play include: Grand Prix, where you qualify for a starting position, then race each course on three difficulty levels; Single Match pits you against seven computer opponents; Time Attack races against the clock; and Versus lets you challenge a friend on a split-screen without computer challengers to worry about.

The 64-Meg AeroGauge automatically saves your options and best times directly to cartridge, but a ~Controller Pak with 93 free pages in needed to race against a "ghost" in the Time Attack mode. Other notable features include three camera views, three controller configurations, and an option to turn on "vs. handicap" for more competitive racing.
