This is without a doubt, my favourite Katharine Hepburn flick. The storyline is simple. But once you throw this dynamic team into the title roles, things get a little crazy. And for as many laughs and silly moments as this picture delivers, there are times when it is totally obvios how much the two really did love one another in real life. Watch this film. I promise you won't be disappointed. ...

For my money the best of the Spencer Tracy-Katharine Hepburn series, mainly because the script by Garson Kanin and Ruth Gordon is up to the acting ability of the two stars. The supporting cast is also excellent. The battle of the sexes is interesting, even looking back to the 1950s. It is not like those issues have gone away. Of course in the end both sides "win" but Hollywood always has a trouble ending such stories. The best scenes are when Tracy and Hepburn go after each other, and that happens pretty much every other scene in this film. Believe it or not: This film was remade in Bulgaria in 1956 with Marxist-Leninism the issue instead of Feminism. ...
