Phone company had to help me figure this out

    Pros: nice features

    Cons: kept getting cut off

We recently replaced our retail business phones with the AT&T 992 as we tried to correct phone problems. We had been having problems with static and occasional outages. With the new phones the problems continued and the phone company made more change...s to the lines. Once the static was gone we began to notice that when customers would be on both lines that one or the other line would suddenly go dead so that the customer could be heard by us, but we could not be heard by them. By accident we discovered we could click the receiver (as with call waiting) and get the connection back. The phone company continued working on the situation and we even rewired the business, only to find out that the problem was solved when we replaced the phones. The phone company told us they had a similar problem with AT&T phones elsewhere. This phone has a quirk that was very irritating! I'm glad to get rid of them. Read more Less
