This high performance desktop battery backup features maximum protection in a versatile design. The fully featured APC Back-UPS RS can be placed on the floor, or on a shelf. Up to six battery backup outlets with automatic voltage regulation (AVR) enable you to work through even the most frequent brownouts and power sags, keeping 75/90/110 minutes of battery power for when you need it most. For printers and other devices that do not store or process information, up to three additional outlets provide surge protection. Both Ethernet 10/100BaseT and telephone dataline surge protection safeguards against surges entering via network connections.

    Great UPS

    Pros: Lasts long, works well

    Cons: Older Technology

    Love the unit. It has kept our phones, my wifes computer and monitor, scanner, and done surge suppression for a couple of different small laser printers for us over the years. The battery is over 3 years old, and the APC software still says it is goi...ng stong. Power in this area 'sucks' (yes, a technical term :) ... When the power company puts 220 overy your 110V circuit because they didn't ground their transformer, and we pop incandescent bulbs like chicklets evey when they don't do the 220V spike. Also sags, ... this UPS takes care of many of these faults and keeps on trucking. It is the biggest UPS we have, and have other smaller ones on other computers, TV, basically anywhere we have electronics we want to keep (due to the power company being so poor in the TVA fed area of TN). I would recommend this UPS to anyone, and consider the optional extra battery too if you need the additional time when the power goes bad. Read more Less
