Pros: good pictures as digital cam
Cons: lousy as webcam
I purchased this to use as a webcam but the base turned out to be too unstable for that, the cable was always pulling the camera to the left and turning it over. So I have been using it for a regular digital camera and the quality of pictures that I am getting with it is really good.
I have recommended this camera to a couple of friends as an inexpensive digital camera for their personal use.
Pros: ok
Cons: ok

Pros: Small size
Cons: Bad software, unpredictable performance, poor quality
My experience with this camera was very disappointing. I bought it online from Aiptek's online store. My order was processed quickly, though I did have to call them to find out if it had been shipped. No shipping confirmation was sent to me via email.
The camera itself feels flimsy and toy-like. It feels more like a novelty keychain than a camera. The computer software is extremely unstable and must be installed three separate times in order to get all components working. Transfer of pictures to the PC is hit-or-miss (most of the time the computer couldn't find the camera connection at all), and is quite slow. The camera only turned on when it felt like it. The picture quality is terrible, even in the best lighting.
After sucessfully transfering pictures to my PC two times, the camera stopped working entirely.
I went to Aiptek's website and sent their tech support group an email regarding my problem. I got no response. Yesterday I called Aiptek and told them I was very disappointed with the camera and wanted to return it. Luckily I was within the 30-day return period and should get a full refund once they receive the package. I'm mailing it back to them as soon as I finish writing this review.
If you're thinking about purchasing this camera, I strongly encourage you to look for something better. It's a cheaply made, unstable product that produces poor pictures.

This camera is a waste of money IMO. Takes VERY low qualiy pics in good lighting.
Its not wrong the money or the time to find out that most of your images are blurry and need much retouching
well it looks hope its as good as it looks
The Good: Very small. Can be carried like a keychain. Easy to use. You wont need to read instruction manual to start using this camera. Decent picture quality at the High resolution setting.
Came with lots of useful software. Included are the following.
Camera Manager (camera interface)
MS Netmeeting
Cyberlink Video Live Mail
Ulead Photo Express
Ulead Video Studio
Ulead Cool 360
Ulead Photo Explorer
The Bad:
Very High Lux requirement.
The only time this camera will take good pictures is outdoors in bright sunlight. In almost every other situation the pictures will come out grainy. In a brightly lit room, the webcam was only transmitting a very dark and grainy picture.
Bad Webcam.
My Yahoo Messenger failed to recognize this camera. This was the primary requirement for my purchase of this camera. All my family members use Yahoo Messenger to keep in touch. However, a cheap Logitech webcam worked just fine. It was compatible with other video conferencing software like Netmeeting and MSN Messenger. No comment about AOL IM because I dont use AOL.
Drains Batteries.
I took 3 pictures. When I turned the camera back on after 4 days, the batteries were drained. At least Aiptek is honest when they claim only 1 week of battery life. The only way to save batteries is to download any pictures and remove the batteries.
The Bottom Line:
A failed valiant attempt by Aiptek to make a multi functional camera. It does everything as advertised but doesnt excel at anything.

I have used all features on this little cam. The video works great and the pics are also great when used outside or inside in good light. Remember you have to compare apples to apples... Its a fun camera to take along around your neck. people just dont believe its a digital camera!. For what it is and what you pay, its a good little extra cam to take along. You can even use it as a P.C. camera! I would recommend it all to pick one up. The only draw back is there is no flash, but hey look at the size!!! Just do it you wont be sorry. I still carry it right next to my new $600 digi cam and $600 mini DV recorder if that tells ya something!FUN!!! I have owned two other aiptek pocket cams and all have been FUN and took good pics for what they are. (Apples to Apples).
