this movie is favorite movie ever. it makes me cry esingle time i watch it even if i watch it seven times in a row. the part that just kills me is the part when shane is in the car driving home froms his dads house for the first time in the movie and... he is crying!!! i think that the story is wonderful!!! I think that it is great that she get to fall in love just before she dies but i fell so bad for landen that he only gets to spend a summer with his wife and only true love. this movie sets the stacks high on my list for any mandy moore movie. the only part that i dont like is the first part it is so mean why would you want to be a friend with a that even asks you do do that!! then it realy cooked my noodle when eric and landen were the only ones who stayed and helped him out of the water!!! i think that both mandy and shane both did a great job wiacting in such an emoitional movie it is a hard movie to act in i bet!!! well i just think it is great Read more Less

I hadn't heard of this movie until my wife directed me to rent it. I was concerned that the movie would be a teenie-bopper movie as the beginning of the film left a little to be desired. this movie was the second saddest movie i have ever watched.
