Now it seems that events are going to repeat themselves when her son (Troy Donahue) and his daughter meet and fall in love. Subtle at first, SUMMER PLACE unfolds like a easy love story, but the surprise ending makes it difficult to forget.

    Pros: Sandra Dee was an angel

    Cons: Troy Donahue was just trying to be a "pretty boy."

    In the late 50's, movie stories had simple plots very reflective of our life back then. "Summer Place" reminds me of what we were. Too bad the good old years are forever gone.
