Hailing from Dallas, TX, A Dozen Furies first gained attention as contestant's on MTV's Battle for Ozzfest. The fivepiece modern thrash band won the contest and earned a spot on the second stage for the 2005 run of the long running heavy metal fest. The MTV exposure and constant touring, both on and off the Ozzfest circuit, led to the Furies signing to Sanctuary Records who released their debut album A Concept from Fire in the fall of 2005.
