It's the best film i've seen so far in my life. It's an extremely ironic movie with grate sence of humour, perfectly directed and grate music backround.Of course some more violence wouldn't harm but it was still grate.Malcom McDowel was so incredibly r...ealistic that past right through me.I don't want to call him an actor,it's to litle. He has the most inconcivable look!I don'tknow you,but the only thing it gave me,was peace. Pros: sick

    Cons: sick

The first time I saw this movie, I was young, innocent, and nieve. I hated the movie; thought it to be for those only with deeply disturbed minds. Now maybe I'm disturbed or maybe just aware, this movie is a solid example of potential. It display...s the potential of the main character through out the film, but most importantly; measures the potential of the viewer. Read more Less

Invite Your Droogs for a Bit of Ultra-Violence

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jun 26, 2006

    Pros: Beautiful, Satirical, Thoughtful

    Cons: Synthesized Beethoven soundtrack

Another masterpiece by Kubrick, "A Clockwork Orange" is a story of a young thug caught up in a system determined to reform him. There are so many memorable scenes, with a lot of ironic beautification of violence, crime, etc. This is a great... movie if you aren't offended by that sort of thing (there's a great high-speed sex scene too) and if you can put up with the soundtrack which I found quite annoying. Sure, it was relevent to the story, but I like my classical music performed in a classical manner. This should also be appreciated by thoughtful punks, and other phiolsophical members of the counter-culture. Read more Less

I think kubric is an alternative intelectuale ,who choose movie just to say the things that he has in his mind so you can see content more than technique in his movies,he dose not say this is the best categorization of sex ,terror, love and crime but ...he says this is my idea, and now your turn ,what is your idea,so finnishing his movies is a start for your movei, and this is the meaning of art. Delight in the Ultra-Violence

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 24, 2000

Of course, this is a cult classic as many Kubrick movies seem to be. You either love this movie or hate it. I nearly love it.The movie provides a chilling look at some near future, a tomorrow (that's probably already here.) While somewhat dated, it'...s abstract enough that it's still plausible. The violence is a reflection on us, society, so we're watching ourselves run through this wild land. And then we're forced to question whether we want true freedom (and the ability to do whatever we want) or state control that limits our freedome (for the good of society.)I haven't read the book (it's on my list) but that seems to be the central question. I'll take the former (as well as my chances ;-) Read more Less

    Freewill

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Sep 15, 2000

This is the type of movie that can amuse you and horrify you at the same time, causing mixed feelings you did not know before. It is an excellent fable on freewill and society. Totally recommended, as well as Anthony Burgess“s book.
