Từ nhỏ chúng ta đã quen và sống với những trang cổ tích, mơ những giấc mơ rất cổ tích về nàng Bạch Tuyết, về Công chúa ngủ trong rừng nhưng ít ai nhận ra rằng cổ tích vốn rất cần thiết cho sự phát triển của con người nhất là ở tuổi teen, cổ tích như liều thuốc tinh thần giúp chúng ta sống lạc quan hơn, có hoài bão và ước mơ, giúp ta phân biệt thiện ác và giữ vững niềm tin.
Chẳng ai trong chúng ta xa lạ gì với câu chuyện Cô bé lọ lem nhưng ít ai nghĩ rằng trong thời hiện đại vẫn có những câu chuyện tương tư như thế, và càng không thể ngờ câu chuyện cô bé lọ lem hiện đại lãng mạn hơn cổ tích rất nhiều. Một trận động đất đã cướp đi của Samathan (Hilary Duff) người cha tuyệt vời, để lại cô bơ vơ lạc lõng trên cõi đời cùng với bà dì ghẻ độc ác và 2 cô em xấu tính.
Sam lớn lên trong sự đày đọa của họ, trở thành đầy tớ trong chính ngôi nhà của mình, và những lúc không đi học cô phải làm việc trong quán ăn của cha cô để lại (giờ đã thuộc quyền sở hữu của dì ghẻ) đây cũng là lý do cô thường bị bạn bè trong trường châm chọc và đặt cho biệt danh diner-girl. Niềm vui duy nhất của Sam là những lúc chat với một anh chàng nào đó cô gặp ở phòng chat Princeton. Họ có chung một ước mơ được học đại học Princeton, và có những rắc rối với gia đình khá giống nhau, nếu như Sam khổ vì bà mẹ ghẻ và 2 đứa em kế thì anh chàng lại khổ vì cứ phải sống và phấn đấu vì những mục tiêu mà cha chàng đặt ra. Như bao chuyện tình trên mạng khác, mọi con đường chat đều dẫn đến một cái hẹn offline, và họ cũng thế.
Đó là một đêm vũ hội Halloween của trường, họ hẹn nhau nơi trung tâm sàn nhảy. Dù chưa từng biết mặt nhau nhưng một sợi dây vô hình đã mang họ lại với nhau, tìm thấy nhau giữa mênh mang là người mặc dù lúc đó chàng hóa trang là hoàng tử Charming còn nàng là Cô bé lọ lem. Những phút gặp nhau ngắn ngủi nhưng không thể lãng mạn hơn, cái phút giây định mệnh chàng cúi xuống gỡ chiếc mặt nạ bạc để xem gương mặt thực của người con gái đã làm tim chàng lần đầu tiên thực sự rung động bỗng chiếc điện thoại của nàng reo vang báo hiệu nàng phải về nhà để trình diện với mẹ kế. I do love dis movie a lot n do rewatch it a lot of time ... I really like de main characters in it , they fit 2 each other ( I actually do wish they would become a couple but it doenst happen ) . im a hilary duff fan and i so loved this movie its adorable and i watch it 24/7 its just a cute movie and the actors are amazing and so funny i recommend this movie to anybody who is a hilary fan i own most of her movies and this has got to be the best movie she has ever made in her whole life her and chad did a great job together it was just an all around awesome movie and i never can get enough of it i loved all the clothes in the movie and i loved the dress she wore to the prom it was so adorable just a great family movie kids and parents will love it so get some popcorn and sit down as a family and enjoy a sweet family movie you wont be sorry ever

Based on cinderella, sam montgomery has a dream of going to princeton university. she meets a boy in a princeton chatroom, who turns out to be football captain austin ames. it follows the story of the two as they discover each others true identities. a really good film and i loved every minute!!!!!!!!!

Cinderella story is a great movie for girls and guys. It's about a girl named Sam[Hilary Duff] that lived in a little town after her mother died and then her dad got married and then ther was an earthquake and her dad got killed. Her and her evil stepmother and evil stepsisters live together. Sams dad owned a cafe before he died then her stepmom gets to own it now because he died. Sam has met a guy on a princton chatline and she doesn't know it's the most popular and hottest guy in high school Austin Ames [Chad Michael Murrary] and he's going out with the most popular girl ever. Sam is going to meet her prince charming at the halloween dance and her and her nice friend/ boss went to a halloween store to bye a halloween cotstume but all she found was a mask and her friend had a dress she could borrow and she was cinderella. When she went to the dance she went with her friend Carter. Her and prince charming met in the middle of the dance floor and she saw it was Austin Ames and she was really surprised. 2 thumbs up to Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murrary I know you guys broke up but you should really get back together your such a good couple well you should make another movie together bye and good luck in the future.

*~When I saw the preview of A CINDERELLA STORY when it was about to be out in theaters, I didn't make any plans on seeing it. But I actually saw the movie, and it was wonderful. It's like a newer, up-to-date version of the classic, except Hilary's character wasn't CINDERELLA. That made it better. Her character's life seemed to be like Cinderella. 2 Thumbs Up!!! If U haven't seen it, you should.~*
