Synopsis: A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965)
Synopis: One of the most endearing of all Peanuts' specials finds Charlie Brown nurturing the thinnest, scraggliest Christmas tree ever. At first the gang makes fun of Charlie for choosing such an ugly tree for the holiday but a timely assist from Linus makes the true message of the season come shining through. Everyone realizes in the end that a little affection can make all the difference in the world... even to a tree.Yahoo! Shoppers Who Viewed This Item Also Viewed:

A holiday favorite!
, March 10, 2001In this classic installment of "Peanuts", Charlie Brown is depressed over the commercialization of Christmas. He goes to Lucy for help on how to lose his holiday blues. She suggests that Charlie get involved in something, so decides to direct the Christmas play. He decides to buy a Christmas tree to help set the atmosphere. He returns with a small little tree and immediately becomes the laughing stock among his friends until Linus steps in and tells them and all of us the true meaning of Christmas. This is a fabulous cartoon that will prove to be heartwarming and hilarious all at once. It also makes an important point, a little love and kindness can make all the difference in the world. Pros: Love This DVD
Cons: None
I love this DVD it showed the worlds negative view of the material, selfish idea about christmas, but the show defined the real meaning of christmas, GOD'S on purpose for that night the birth of himself as JESUS CHRIST, to save souls from death and hell.
My favorite part when Charlie Brown yells after being picked on over his choice of a Christmas Tree and tree falls apart ( I think), he says, "Is This What Christmas Is About?" Linus comes along and resites the scriptures, The Holy Bible (KJV) LUKE 2 vs 8-14, my favorite part.
LUKE 2 vs 8-14
8: And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9: And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
10: And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11: For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
12: And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
13: And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14: Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
Thank You, JESUS! ...
