    Pros: OK printing

    Cons: You must use Canon cartridges at exhorbitant prices since the cartridges have chips that will not allow refilling

    I bought this printer since it looked like a great deal at $79. When the ink ran out (rather quickly) I found out that Canon planted chips on the cartridges so they can not be manufactured by aftermarket ink makers or refilled and you must use their ...outrageously overpriced ink cartridges. The Canon refills cost the same as a new printer. Don't buy this unless you feel like paying 40 time more for ink. Canon really screwed the consumers on this one. Read more Less

    Pros: Great Picture's,Scaning,Ink useage!

    Cons: collect's alot of dust!

    Needed a printer right away after my old hp broke down on me!Great buy with an Excellent Look good software inclueded

    Pros: Prints on CD/DVD, Large capacity cartridges, Print/Scan/Copy options

    Cons: No network suport

    I have brought this printer about 6 months ago and it's great. If you want to print pictures, print them on photo paper and you will ones like those made on a photo lab!! It has a lot of print options, you can set manually the quality, effects, p...rint styles and even a half-duplex print option (prints on one side, then it drags the paper back, turns it and prints on the other side). If you have a mobile phone with IRDA port or a digital camera, you can connect them to the printer and print without a PC because it has an IRDA port, an USB port and a card reader. The cartridges are huge, especially the black one. I have printed ~600 page (A4) with text at standard quality. And the refill is so cheap. Here in Romania a bottle with ink (100 ml) costs ~ 5$ and you can refill the big black one 5 times or a little one 10 times. There are 4 cartridges for color print (black, cyan, magenta & yellow) and one big black for grayscaled printing. Also, there are a lot of copy options: 2 sided, fit to page, scale, poster etc. You can even adjust the contrast of the copy. It's a great printer with an excellent price/printed page and the only bad thing is that it doesn't have a network port so it can be connected to the local network. Read more Less

    Pros: Pic quality excellent

    Cons: None

    This printer/scanner does everything I ask and does it well. Ink refills are about 15 each on average. But unlike someone else's review, I won't complain. You get what you pay for. Aftermarket ink cartridges are never as good as OEM. Paid 179... new with a 50 dollar rebate! Would do it again! Read more Less

    Worst invention ever...

    Pros: Very pretty to look at

    Cons: You cannot scan a document to send as an attachment if the ink is too low, the printer/scanner will not allow it until the ink is replaced..

    Received this as a free gift from sister in-law (I should have figured it out immediately). When you are printing documents it will tell you the ink is low, no big deal. When you need to scan a document that will be sent as an attachment the printer/...scanner will not allow the scan until the ink is replaced. This is ridiculous. Canon must agree with me because it is no longer for sale on their web site. Read more Less
