I love this webcam. You get great quality for a decent price. It works well in low lighting situations, and allows you to choose what kind of lighting you have in the room as well as compensating for backlighting. My relatives all over the world c...an see me clearly. The voice function isn't really necessary, but it's convenient to have everything in one place. I really don't think you can go wrong here. Sure, you can spend half of this and get a webcam, but the quality really does make a difference! You'll really enjoy it. Read more Less

I was really satisfied with this cam untill i upgraded my system and the cam no longer worked

Pros: Quality of pics

Cons: Doesn't stay in position

Camera doesn't stay in position. The cable might be to heavy and pulls cam out of position. The base is to light and breaks very easily. The cam itself is ok.

The Quickcam pro 4000 gives you a better video picture with less light than the X10 video camera I had hooked up to my computer.The only thing I didnt like about the pro 4000 was its software for video editing that came with the camera.The camera is ...worth the money you spend dont be fooled by others. Hard to position

Pros: Easy install works right the first time

Cons: Hard to position camera and mic echo

The camera installed and was up and running in just minutes from being purchased.The cable keeps pulling on the camera which because on the swival base, makes it nearly impossible to get the camera in a good position.The mic does pick up really well,... but everyone I was IM'd to, complained about the volumn. The is no mic volumn control for this product (That I could find).The other problem was that when the same camera is on both end of the IM session, using hands free voice, your conversation would echo so much that you had to turn off hands free or go to a head set.This camera is nice, but the mic and swival base needs work. Pros: excellent and good quality images at least they were when i saw it working on my friends pc.

Cons: I can't get it 2 work tho om my pc running win.xp pro. The camera is really hard to keep in place cuz its base is to light , and the cord placement is in a bad spot.

If any1 can help me out w/ this I'd appeciate it! ty

Still image is far less than as specified on the box, which they claimed 1.3 mega pixel. The actual size is 434KB for mega pixel and 189KB for 640X480. The built-in mic is somehow not picking up sound. I have to use the sound card for recording audio.... Read more Less

Pros: it works very well, very clear broadcast and easy to use

Cons: one upgrade caused peoblems but it was fixed quickly

I ahve beenusing the camera for 3 years. It has been a great one! it has always had a gret braodcast. I get compliments all the time on how clear it is. I love the adjustable focus and face tracking. I only had one problem with it one time. when I up...graded the software the was a glitch with XP it was sovled with in minutes. Read more Less

Cons: the face tracker is difficult to control

after ready a few negative reviews, i tried out my friend's and it worked flawlessly with the mic on instant messenger. so i went out to buy my own. it's great if you're using it to connect with people on messenger and having the mic buil...t in makes it a lot easier. set up was easy, and it's totally worth it.
