Pros: Lighting set the mood, it was dark and foreboding.

Cons: The Witchcraft elements needed more research.

What is there not to like if you are a guy: teens in plaid shirts, full frontal nudity, spanking with a cane (as an S&M aficionado, I have to admit, I needed to rewind a couple of times to savor the scene), a head mistress that would make Lucy Lue sq...uirm, strip searches, Witchcraft, virgin blood, blood all over, your basic horror flick. As a practicing Witch I need to clearify a few things (Hollywood needs to have a real Witch on the set, if they are going to have Witch movies with Pentagrams on the cover), the down side was the Witchcraft was presented incorrectly. The Wiccan pentacle is a five pointed star that represents protection, the five elements: earth, air, fire water, and spirit, not terrorizing Catholic School Girls. One of the girls was a Wiccan, her Pentacle, a pentagram encircled with a circle works as good a protector, if not better, against any kind of evil, compared to a cross. Some Witches wear crosses too, the more protection the better. The Demon Legion from the book of Mark, in the Bible is the boogie man. Takes over the body of the victim, the first person possessed is Elizabeth, when the Demon is done with her, all that is left is a puddle of blood. The rest of the movie is dedicated in getting her back from the dead. We know what happens when somebody is brought back! It gets gory. The guy who played "Hell Boy" was great. If you like "Skelton Key" or the "Excorcist" you will like this movie. I liked the "Covenant" better, out on DVD on Tuesday! Read more Less
