The 3Com Megahertz 56K PC Card (Cross Platform Support PC/Mac) sets the pace with the built-in V.90 56K technology and light-speed downloads over regular phone lines. In addition, you'll enjoy market-leading features like Mobile Speakerphone, Caller ID and Phone Answering, which turn your notebook into a portable telephone.

This model also features an X-Jack connector, the easiest way to connect to any standard phone line. With the X-Jack, you avoid the hassle of carrying and losing cumbersome cables; simply pop it out to hook to any standard phone cord then lock it back in for safe travel. It is cellular capable and connects directly to cellular phones with a separate cellular cable.

Additional features of this model include Flash DSP which allows you to update your modem's main functionality without returning it, using simple software downloads. It also features Flash ROM to perform basic enhancements to your modem with software updates from the field. This model has an intelligent auto install feature which allows easy, doubt-free Plug n Play installation in a matter of minutes. The modem is protected from potentially damaging digital or PBX phone lines with Digital Line Guard. It is also hot swappable so you can switch PC Cards without rebooting or exiting Windows.
