24: The Game is a MUST for any 24 fan

    By Phil  Dec 27, 2006

Pros: The Story, The characters, The amount of things you can do (i.e. drive any car you want like grand theft auto), etc.

Cons: Some mini games that are annoying, the camera is not great, graphics could be better

24 the game could have been perfect if a few of the kinks were worked out of it, but basically it is one of the most fun games I've ever played. This could be a little biased because I am a huge 24 fan, but it the whole game plays pretty nicely a...nd is really fun to play with a group of 24 fans. Even if you haven't watched the show, it is still an addicting and exciting game to play. Like I mentioned in the pros, there are many things you can do, such as drive and steel cars. You also play almost every character from the show. 24 the game is set in between seasons 2 and 3 and should be played by all 24 fans who are into video games. Read more Less

24 hours is sure is short.

By JAW  Mar 24, 2006 | 0 out of 1 found this 24: The Game review helpful

Pros: The Cast, gameplay, diffrent game types

Cons: gets repetitive near the end, does not feel like 24 hours, no interacation Jack Bauer Way.

24 sets you up with Jack Bauer storming inside a planter boat and you and some SWAT comes in and goes and find a bomb. Lets get on with the bad. First off it's short, When I first heard about a 24 game based on one of the best shows on TV I was a...fraid that it will be like you have to beat the game in less than 24 with no stops and no saves. First off that seems like a good idea but with no restroom brakes and no food seems kind of dumb. but after reading things about it I felt better. The gameplay the developers say will have a game time of 24 hours and so I thought well good a long game. Resident Evil 4, Pychonauts, and GTA games are long and fun. Til I played this game. Between missions and cut sence it does not have a game time of 24 hours it feels more like 12 hours. Long yeah but compared to the others like GTA and RE4 I felt a bit cheated. So what about game play? It is OK. I have played worst. The aiming is pretty cool the sniping mission is one of the best on the entire game and the controls are nearly on the spot. The camra angels is pretty good on to stay near you till some one comes really up cloes and it wiggles like my eyes can wiggle. The voice acting is all there from Kefier Sutherland to Carlos Barnard everyone from the show is in here. The Puzzles in here is pretty easy to solve but with a time limit it make the puzzles to extreamly easy to just plan easy. Have quick fingers that is ok as long as you know what you are doing. The Graphics is all right but they did put the face models in pretty good. For an M game I was supprice on how there was NO BLOOD. The box said intence violence (kind of),langreage ( one B word), and blood(no blood) insted it's just grey dust coming off of the target. The AI is a bit dumb but not that dumb (remember The Path Of Neo anyone?) They just get closer and closer and fall down dead. On some missions they do not tell you on what to do case in point the 2ed mission. It took triel and error to get it. Wich get to this point. The game is fairly easy. With no game diffuclty to choose from it seems that the developers think that we 'the gamer' will chose easy. The game does get repetitve near the end and does requre quick finger and a fast trigger finger but like all games out there, there is always that ARG part that makes you want to rip your hair out. Other games has like three or four but this has two back to back instead of one mission then after a few the other one. Not that this is complaing at least you will get the hard part away. Hideing bodies are a keen part in somes missions but they move so SLOW that in one mission it took me an hour to get to the next part of the mission. And trying to aviod a camra at the same time. The intarcation is a bit of a problem. You encater a few thoughout the game and although it is intresting on intargating like Jack but Jack just feels forced on playing it cool. In the show Jack is willing to Shoot a guy's wife in the leg, break finger, brake arms, and threating to cut some ones eyes out with a pocketknife. That was what I was expected but insted you get a fast reflex skill to get the right questions for the right answers. There are more carictors you can play thoughout the game other than Jack each gets there own amount of time. In case you are wodering I will tell one person you can Play. It's KIM BAUER. NOOOOO! it's just for a mission. So no big deal. Then there are the unlockables. There is a unlockable on each mission. If you score a 96% or higher you get it but it is mostly People Details like a SWAT team member or the one I tried to get Cloie O'brien. There are a few interviews and teaser trailers for the game. and a small audmout of pictures. If you are good you will fall around the 80% range with a few very low scores. So all and all it's not a bad game but it is not good neather. If you expect plot twist as many of like the show it hardly has any but two or three. If you are a fan of the show you Read more Less
