Intense
Pros: Jam packed full of action and intensity. Constant unexpected plot twists.
Cons: Not quite as fast-paced as later seasons, too involved with Jack Bauer's wife and daughter (who are extremely dumb characters who come close to making the wrong decisions in every single instance.)
With constant remakes of anything good 10 years or older, originality has fled the field. The good news is that you can find plenty of originality with this series. Unexpected plot twists abound at every turn in "24." Rent it, buy it, watch it. It's the best there is and there isn't anything more worth watching.

by far the best series ever put on television. if you want to watch nobn stop action every turn get it watch it you will be hooked

Pros: Intense, action packed, entertaining and unpredictable
Cons: A few rough edges in the story telling
Excellent series. It is impossible to try to watch one episode at the time. I dont know how people watched it on TV having to wait a week or more for the next episode. By the time you finish the series, your eyes are tired and you have to catch up with a lot of things that you neglected for the sake of watching just another episode, but its well worth it. If you havent watched it, do so.

Of course, everybody knows the movie(I mean show) is about Jack Bauer, a Counter Terrorist Unit Agent, who is having a horrible day. The day consists of him trying to prevent an assissination of the soon-to-be president Palmer, and also trying to find his kidnapped family. Somehow all this is connected. In addition, there seems to be someone in the agency against him.
This is the greatest tv show I have ever seen! Every episode was gripping and left me with suspense until the next episode. It is like reading a great mystery and each chapter provided more clues or twists to keep the reader in suspense until the end. Now I am watching season two and am taping each episode so I don't miss anything. I will end up getting that DVD set as well next year. It literally makes you want to watch to see what happens. Never has a show make me not want to miss a single episode. It is exactly as how they described it: INTENSE!!!!!
With the DVD, you don't have to wait each week for what is going to happen because its all in there in one set. And this show really felt like a 18 hour movie and the last episode ends the season terrifically!! This is a must-have for DVD sets!!!Was this review helpful? One word: AMAZING!!! I NEVER thought there'd ever be a show, where I'd "live" around except for WWE shows, but I was wrong...DEAD wrong!!
I must admit, I was very hesitent in seeing 24 in the first place. Kept hearing about the show from co-workers, and my fiance's parents, but it just wasn't enough for me to watch it. Wanna know what did it for me??....The new "24: The Game" (release date: 2/28/06)!!
I had been playing the demo for "24: The Game", and had almost automatically been sucked into the awe of "24". The whole concept of the show using "real time", the suspense, the great storylines, the great actors/actresses...this show has it all and a bag of chips!! (Slang) lol
Just do this for me.... Try it. Just try the first episode out. Then, if you don't wanna be bothered, you don't have too. but AT LEAST try out the first episode. And that's another thing. You can't just jump "head first" into the series in order to follow the show. You have to start from the beginning, and work your way to the most current season. At the moment, my fiance and I are on the last disc of season two(2)! The problem for us is, WE DON'T OWN THE SET! :( We're renting it from Blockbuster. LOL Hey, if that's what ya have to do, that's what you have to do! I suggest the same to you!! Get this in your collection!!Was this review helpful? Yes - No
