Cheap and Killer! The Crue album for broke people!

    By Star_Zero  Jul 16, 2006

Pros: Ummm well the songs kick major a$s

Cons: Missing way too many key tracks!!!

That Andy Kellman dude from All Music Guide who wrote the supossed expert review for this album is quite obviously an idiot!I do not recommend that people buy this Motley recoed unless they are broke. It's very affordable so it's the poor man&...#39;s Motley Crue greatest hits.If you want to build a great Motley collection though, this album is not an ingredient you need.If you want one greatest hits album of Motley only, get the cd 'Red, White, and Crue' it is also very affordable. This is not even really the broke persons greatest hits, it's truly the bum on the side of the roads GH because Red,White and Crue is a better overall value really.Awesome tracks on this album but it's missing way too many notables to be a worthy buy.Live Wire, Looks That Kill, and Dr.Feelgood are not even on this album for instance. All 3 of those tunes being more than obvious choices for any Motley compilation album not even to mention the song that first got them far and wide attention Smokin In The Boys Room is also not here. There are no previouslly unreleased tracks on here or anything, so it is definetly the one Motley album not to buy. • All Music Guide

Not as thorough or as representative as Hip-O's 2003 version of Greatest Hits, 20th Century Masters (also, strangely, released via Hip-O) keeps it short and sweet with a dozen tracks, most of which date back to Motley Crue's '80s output. The compilation begins its downhill slide at "Rock 'n' Roll Junkie," the band's contribution to the Ford Fairlane soundtrack. And then, with the likes of "Anarchy in the U.K.," "Generation Swine" and "Hell on High Heels," the disc is made all the more negligible. Rather than choose worthier songs from the earlier and more popular albums, Hip-O opted to be too fair to the later albums.

As one of the first and most influential hair metal bands of the '80s, Mötley Crüe had a series of hit albums, the biggest and most noteworthy being 1989's Dr. Feelgood.
