Given he's the hardest working man in the rap business, it shouldn't be a surprise that DJ Kool's 20 Minute Workout EP actually lasts twice that long. Of course, "20 Minute Workout" is the title track and not a reference to the CD's length, but it's still a perfect summation of DJ Kool's tremendous energy and determination. The first track is, indeed, "20 Minute Workout," recorded live in Richmond, and it shows Kool getting a crowd into it like few rappers are able. The other inclusions are solid as well, featuring sampladelic hardcore tracks like "Bass N the Truck" and "4 the Brothas N the Ghetto," plus a few remixes and bonus beats.
