MOBY CANT SING, AND HIS MUSIC IS HORIBLE. JUST HEARING HIS NAME MAKES MY EARS HURT, I DONT KNOW HOW ANYONE CAN STAND LISTENING TO THE MAN, AND ANYONE WHO DOES NEEDS TO GET THEIR EARS CHECKED!!!

Gowd !!! What a load of crap this CD is. No soul what so ever...Ms. Moby better save his money...I think he will be homeless before too long. If he wants the listeners to take him seriously, he better get off his soapbox....Did I mention Ms.Moby mumbles, not sings....anyone who would ever listen to Ms.Moby is in the chi chi man camp. In other words...save your cash...nobody needs to promote Ms.Mobys agenda.

I also agree that play was perhaps , more energetic or however you want to call it.But nevertheless moby proves again that he's simply a fantastic artist.. who atleast in my case manages to tickle my deepest emotions out and convert them into songs.I listen to the songs on 18 over and over again .. and everytime it gives me a feeling of being timeless.It's hard to tell which song I like best on the cd since it's a compilation of various styles put together in a simply lovely way.
And it's also good to know that the man behind the music is just as amazing.I love moby's essays.. and beside the music it's one of the things I always look forward too.
So,all I can say is..it's definately a cd that's worth the money.One of those rare cds containing real music with all its heart and soul.
That's all I have to say for now..Just listen.Calm down.And dream.

I completely agree with thx1_9. I'm giving 4 stars because it's still so cool and groovy. But next time Moby will have to make sth more entertaining, otherwise people will start to get bored.

FYI 18 was released in Japan beginning of May with a bonus CD (2 remixes of We Are Made of Stars and another non-album track). I got 18 on Thur 2nd May. Unimpressed at first but it is growing on me. In a similar vein to Play and musicaly not a new direction for Moby. Should please those that liked Play.

promos arrive in radio station & music industry hands several weeks before the release, these often have the artwork. advances show up even earlier, but don't usually have artwork. for example, i used to work for moby & i should have my copy by friday or sat. and if i was dishonest, i could put it up on Kazaa before it gets released on tuesday... so that's how people can review it before it's out officially

This music has been legally available for download for about two weeks now. You can find it at WWW.BESTBUY.COM and amazon and a some other places. It also can be downloaded illegally for the past few months at places like morpheus and kazaa. There is always a way of getting stuff before the public does.
